Delta Christmas Party!

We had our Christmas party in Delta. We all had so much fun. Colter got to go see Santa, (which he actually liked him somewhat this year). The kids got to break a pinyata, we did white elephants, played B-I-N-G-O and had yummy eats! It was fun to have everyone there together.
Colter and his BEST bud Kenli. They love each other so much! Its amazing to me they act just like brother and sister and from this picture I think everyone would think they were!

Darin and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! Well i shouldn't say celebrated...Darin is on his six night shifts in a row and our anniversary landed right smack in the middle. So anyway we "had" our anniversary. The night before we went to Darin's work party and actually got a babysitter, (the first one we've had in about a year) so that was somewhat of an pre-anniversary treat. It's crazy to think that six years has already gone by so fast. I just wanted Darin to know how much we all love him and appreciate all his hard work. He is such a great husband and I wouldn't trade him for anything! Love ya Baby! HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY!!!

Fun at Amy's

Tess Tyler

Me, Colter and Dempsey spent all last week up in o-town babysitting Amy's kids. It was quite fun trying to entertain these munchkins all day long in the rain. We watched movies, went to the park in between rain storms, read books, jumped on the tramp, painted rocks, made snakes and paper fishes and played school. Oh and who could forget my wonderful air mattress; that only held air for the first 3 hours of the night! The boys were good most of the time other then the occasional fighting over who got the Lighting McQueen wallet, and Tess, I don't think she's ever had a bad day in her life! I had fun up there and I look at these little farts and think just how cute they are and how lucky we are to have them.

Pee-You!!!

Somethings never change...Dempsey is our angel child and Colter is our little stinker. We had a fun Halloween, we went to good old Santaquin, met up with the fam, we had my all-time favorite carmel apples and took all the kids around. Colter loved it this year, so that made it really fun for me. Here's a few pics of our kiddos!

PUMPKINS...

We started the day by making Halloween cookies and then we carved pumpkins. We thought Colter would love to carve the pumpkins and he did pretty good, but he'd stick his hand in the opening and pull it out real fast and say "gross". Those of you that know Colter it's not a surprise that he didn't enjoy being dirty. I think this year Darin and I had more fun carving them then Colter. We were all into it and trying to have the best one out of eachother. (by the way mine is better!!!) No actually they are both kind of cute and i'm proud of Darin going along with the idea and being a good sport.

I bet you can't tell who carved which pumpkin??? Ha ha.

Grandpa Joker

In Loving Memory...
I just wanted to pay a little tribute to David Paul Ridge, my Grandpa Joker. He past away yesterday October 9, 2008. He was one of the BEST men I have ever known. He was so kind, sensitive, and gentle. I feel so blessed to have been his grand daughter. I am so thankful to my parents for always involving us in our grandparents life. I have a unique story that probably does not happen to many, but when my parents got married and introduced the going to be in-laws to each other, they became BEST friends; so when holidays rolled around or events it wasn't about which grandparents house we were going to be at, wherever we were each grandparent was there, they would always go to lunch and do their shopping together every Friday. They had a forever friendship!
Some of the things i remember most about my Grandpa Joker is knowing he was in World War II, He didn't get to meet his first born until she was two, he got hit by a bull dozer and broke every bone in his body, the long drawn-out history talks, he could tell you where every road, lake, cave, and mountain was or where it had been, the tilted hat (just a titch), his penny jar, all the pocket knifes, the yo-ho-ho's at the softball games, the "red" pepper at cactus reds, his blue eyes that he past down to Colter, who could forget all the publisher clearing house paraphernalia, and the love he shared for all of us and grandma. I will never forget visiting him these past few weeks and the tabernacle book he desperately wanted to read with me and showing me some of the places he and grandma had been and me telling him "that when he married her it was the best decision he had ever made" and he saying "yah i picked her didn't I". The love between them was nothing but true love.
I am so thankful for the relationship i have shared with my grandparents, i truly believe they are my angels!!!
I Love you Grandpa, and will miss you everyday.
Love you the mostest!!! Janey

Why me???

It has taken me a long time to talk about this to anyone other than family and close friends, but I had a miscarriage on July 15, 2008. One of the WORST days of my entire life. We went in for my three month check-up and they could not find the heart beat. We were devistated. You just think this kind of thing won't happen to you. It was never even thought of. It has been 2 months and not a day goes by that I don't think about that day. People say time heals all pain...that is NOT true. Time just lessens the pain. The first couple weeks were the hardest; you wonder why, you feel like a failure, we had started telling people, Colter wanted a baby sister, friends and family were having babies and we were ready to add to our family, but ALL things happen for a reason. We may never know or understand why this happened to us, but Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and what may be our plan is not his. I want to thank my family for their love and support especially my "Bodaget" sister. She helped me more than she'll ever know! Thank you Amy. And Darin, let's just say I definately remember why i married you, Thank you sweetie, I LOVE YOU!!! OXOXO.
Things are going good for us and we count our blessings every single day. We are thankful for who and what we have in our lives. I believe that someday we will be blessed again with a little spirit that needs us!
