This is the only family pic we've had lately, and i felt bad that good old Dempsey wasn't in it, so I added one of his ugly mug at the bottom. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Sleigh Riding

Lesley and Justin came to hangout this weekend and since we were snowed in we all decided that we would take the kids sleigh riding. It was so funny! First we got on all our gear which first things first, Colter is getting a coat from my sis for Christmas, so needless to say I have not got him one and Kenli had two, So the bright pink coat Colt is wearing is not the one he will be getting for Christmas! ha ha, then Lesley didn't have any boots, so i had some from the 1980's which i would wear fishing with my dad, some rubber weird things and then Lesley had her snow pants (she is due in Feb) so lets just say her snow pants were a little snug, and by the rest of the pictures you can tell that the full body jumpsuits are totally HOT!!! It was hilarious, We had a BLAST!!!

Delta Christmas Party!

We had our Christmas party in Delta. We all had so much fun. Colter got to go see Santa, (which he actually liked him somewhat this year). The kids got to break a pinyata, we did white elephants, played B-I-N-G-O and had yummy eats! It was fun to have everyone there together.
Colter and his BEST bud Kenli. They love each other so much! Its amazing to me they act just like brother and sister and from this picture I think everyone would think they were!

Darin and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! Well i shouldn't say celebrated...Darin is on his six night shifts in a row and our anniversary landed right smack in the middle. So anyway we "had" our anniversary. The night before we went to Darin's work party and actually got a babysitter, (the first one we've had in about a year) so that was somewhat of an pre-anniversary treat. It's crazy to think that six years has already gone by so fast. I just wanted Darin to know how much we all love him and appreciate all his hard work. He is such a great husband and I wouldn't trade him for anything! Love ya Baby! HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY!!!

Fun at Amy's

Tess Tyler

Me, Colter and Dempsey spent all last week up in o-town babysitting Amy's kids. It was quite fun trying to entertain these munchkins all day long in the rain. We watched movies, went to the park in between rain storms, read books, jumped on the tramp, painted rocks, made snakes and paper fishes and played school. Oh and who could forget my wonderful air mattress; that only held air for the first 3 hours of the night! The boys were good most of the time other then the occasional fighting over who got the Lighting McQueen wallet, and Tess, I don't think she's ever had a bad day in her life! I had fun up there and I look at these little farts and think just how cute they are and how lucky we are to have them.

Pee-You!!!

Somethings never change...Dempsey is our angel child and Colter is our little stinker. We had a fun Halloween, we went to good old Santaquin, met up with the fam, we had my all-time favorite carmel apples and took all the kids around. Colter loved it this year, so that made it really fun for me. Here's a few pics of our kiddos!

PUMPKINS...

We started the day by making Halloween cookies and then we carved pumpkins. We thought Colter would love to carve the pumpkins and he did pretty good, but he'd stick his hand in the opening and pull it out real fast and say "gross". Those of you that know Colter it's not a surprise that he didn't enjoy being dirty. I think this year Darin and I had more fun carving them then Colter. We were all into it and trying to have the best one out of eachother. (by the way mine is better!!!) No actually they are both kind of cute and i'm proud of Darin going along with the idea and being a good sport.

I bet you can't tell who carved which pumpkin??? Ha ha.

Grandpa Joker

In Loving Memory...
I just wanted to pay a little tribute to David Paul Ridge, my Grandpa Joker. He past away yesterday October 9, 2008. He was one of the BEST men I have ever known. He was so kind, sensitive, and gentle. I feel so blessed to have been his grand daughter. I am so thankful to my parents for always involving us in our grandparents life. I have a unique story that probably does not happen to many, but when my parents got married and introduced the going to be in-laws to each other, they became BEST friends; so when holidays rolled around or events it wasn't about which grandparents house we were going to be at, wherever we were each grandparent was there, they would always go to lunch and do their shopping together every Friday. They had a forever friendship!
Some of the things i remember most about my Grandpa Joker is knowing he was in World War II, He didn't get to meet his first born until she was two, he got hit by a bull dozer and broke every bone in his body, the long drawn-out history talks, he could tell you where every road, lake, cave, and mountain was or where it had been, the tilted hat (just a titch), his penny jar, all the pocket knifes, the yo-ho-ho's at the softball games, the "red" pepper at cactus reds, his blue eyes that he past down to Colter, who could forget all the publisher clearing house paraphernalia, and the love he shared for all of us and grandma. I will never forget visiting him these past few weeks and the tabernacle book he desperately wanted to read with me and showing me some of the places he and grandma had been and me telling him "that when he married her it was the best decision he had ever made" and he saying "yah i picked her didn't I". The love between them was nothing but true love.
I am so thankful for the relationship i have shared with my grandparents, i truly believe they are my angels!!!
I Love you Grandpa, and will miss you everyday.
Love you the mostest!!! Janey

Why me???

It has taken me a long time to talk about this to anyone other than family and close friends, but I had a miscarriage on July 15, 2008. One of the WORST days of my entire life. We went in for my three month check-up and they could not find the heart beat. We were devistated. You just think this kind of thing won't happen to you. It was never even thought of. It has been 2 months and not a day goes by that I don't think about that day. People say time heals all pain...that is NOT true. Time just lessens the pain. The first couple weeks were the hardest; you wonder why, you feel like a failure, we had started telling people, Colter wanted a baby sister, friends and family were having babies and we were ready to add to our family, but ALL things happen for a reason. We may never know or understand why this happened to us, but Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and what may be our plan is not his. I want to thank my family for their love and support especially my "Bodaget" sister. She helped me more than she'll ever know! Thank you Amy. And Darin, let's just say I definately remember why i married you, Thank you sweetie, I LOVE YOU!!! OXOXO.
Things are going good for us and we count our blessings every single day. We are thankful for who and what we have in our lives. I believe that someday we will be blessed again with a little spirit that needs us!

Big Boy Bed!!!

Okay, lets just say I have been soooo excited to put Colter in a "BIG BOY BED", we have been talking about it forever, hoping it would get him excited! So, I found the perfect bedding and sheets and we started taking the crib down and man i started too feel so sad...my little man is getting so big, then I started second guessing myself, is he ready, he probably won't sleep tonight or the rest of his life in this bed, will he fall out and break his head? All this stuff started running through my head and needless to say...he LOVES it!!! He has done so awesome in it. So the moral of this story is that my two year old son was much more brave than his twenty-eight year old mom! Ha ha.

Wheeler Farms

We went to Salt Lake today to Wheeler Farms. Colter had a ball! We fed the ducky's and Colter got to ride a pony. We took Colt into the candy store and told him he could have any candy that he wanted in the "whole entire" store (thinking this would be soooo cool for him) he picked 1 dum dum sucker! He definitely is a cheap date!!! At least he got what he wanted.Mommy and Colt feeding the ducks.

Welcome Home Madison & Hannah!!!

We went to Logan to Becky and Don's house last weekend for Hannah & Madison's homecoming, we also celebrated Hannah's eighth b-day. We went swimming, had a Barb-Q, and some awesome homeade rootbeer. We had so much fun! Amy, Jack, Colter, me, and Hannah playing in the pool!

Thanks dad for the socks from Alaska! They are really creating a fashion statment!

We Spent the day in Park City. Colter had a BLAST! His favorite part was riding the "whorsey." He loves animals. They only had one man handling all three kid rides, so all the kids had to take turns riding on the rides. One of the rides only carried two kids at a time and Colter was not about to leave until he had a ride on EVERY single ride, so Colter and cousin Hailee got to ride the space ship together while all the other kids waited. A little embarrassing, but he was Happy!

Camping Adventures

We spent the last week camping at Strawberry Reservoir. It was so much fun. We ALL got to ride in "Edger" our new boat from "Grandpa Maisy & Grandpa Lee". We loved it. We couldn't get Colter and Kenli off the the wheelers and when we finally did they kept their helmets on the rest of the day! The boys went fishing almost everyday that we were there; its AMAZING that our little boat did not sink with all the (will just say...very buff (fat) men in it. Ha,ha. We enjoyed getting away and spending time with our family!

We Just got back from having our 10 year class reunion...Ooh what fun! I just wanted to say that honestly I was a little nervous about it, but I lived to tell about it. I was glad that I remembered most people and I had a blast seeing all of you. It was fun talking about all those crazy memories, and boy i have no idea what we were thinking about back in those days, but anyways it was fun to see all of our friends and I am so glad that we all stayed close and that we keep in touch. GO LAKERS!!!
